We hope you are keeping well in these terribly unsettling times. Like most, Emily and I have spent the last few weeks listening and watching as the horrors have been unfolding in Ukraine. Feeling a sense of helplessness, and looking as we always do to art to help focus our thoughts, we have decided to put on a charity exhibition featuring blue and yellow (ish!) works from our favourite artists.
We have been completely overwhelmed by the generosity of our artist and collector friends and are delighted to say, through the kindness of everyone, that 100% of proceeds will be going to our chosen charity, Unicef.
Unicef states that the escalating conflict in Ukraine poses an immediate and growing threat to the country’s 7.5 million children by direct injury and displacement as well as being profoundly traumatised by the violence that surrounds them. As the mother of two young children, I felt this was the direction we would try to help, even if in the tiniest way. However, we know that there is need far and wide so if you have a particular area that you would like to support, we can very easily split the money between charities.
If you see a piece that is out of reach financially, please get in touch and we can try to make a plan. Our ultimate goal is to send as much money as possible to Unicef.
Please spread the word to family, friends and colleagues.
